stories from india

UnErase Poetry presents a wholesome spoken-word experience with Stories From India, a show exploring the heart of Indian culture, relationships, and identity.

As Broadwaybaby.com notes, “Tales of love and hope are eloquently expressed in prose and verse by three experts in the field.”

Led by the voices of Taranjit Kaur, Simar Singh, and Helly Shah, the audience is invited to travel into the depths of India’s post-modern social fabric, through the power of prose and poetry. Each performer brings a unique perspective, offering insights on love, family expectations, gender roles, and social norms, all delivered with humor, sincerity, and vulnerability.

Following their award-winning debut at the Prague Fringe '24, the trio bring this production to America for the first time ever, infusing their performances with nostalgia, hope, and the magic of Bollywood. Each piece resonates with a deep connection to India’s traditions and the evolving experiences of its people.

Prepare for a night where poetry doesn’t just tell a story; it becomes an invitation to empathy, connection, and reflection. This show is more than a recital—it's an emotional journey where storytelling heals, inspires, and brings audiences closer to humanity, one verse at a time.
