catholic guilt

Fresh off another critically acclaimed run at Edinburgh Fringe (Best Show Nominee 2024 ISH Edinburgh Comedy Awards), Kelly McCaughan presents: Catholic Guilt.

Does daddy Jesus's naked body on the cross make you wet? This show will. Seriously, there's water. So, put on your waterproof panties and get ready to unpack everything from losing your virginity in the most holy way, to abortion, to a bowling experience that leads to eternal damnation, and much more. Blending standup, clown, and theater, this daring and hilariously subversive comedy fearlessly challenges the Catholic Church. This show is for anyone who wants to release shame and guilt in the most unholy way. We will laugh. We will sin. But will we make it to hell together? As seen on HBO and Apple TV+.

Catholic Guilt was nominated for Best Show with the 2024 ISH Edinburgh Comedy Awards and previously nominated for Best Newcomer with the 2023 ISH Edinburgh Comedy Awards. It had a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe and garnered rave reviews from top comedy outlets in the UK. It was a two-time audience choice winner at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Additionally, it was listed in Philly Magazine as one of the picks for “Your best Fringe Festival” as well as The Philadelphia Inquirer for "Fringe Festers' guide to what you should be watching at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival."
