The 25th Anniversary Screening & Concert
Join The Kevin Ferg and Friends Company as they honor the 25th Anniversary of Jackie's Back! with an interactive screening and concert celebration! Our event is based on the 1999 made-for-tv mockumentary, which starred Jenifer Lewis and Tim Curry. It was originally directed by Robert Townsend and included music by Marc Shaiman.
This satirical tale is about Jackie Washington; a fictional, boozy, down-and-out, washed-up cabaret diva and follows her highly unanticipated return back to the stage!
Kevin Ferg and Friends plan to use this night as a fundraiser to begin turning this interactive screening extravaganza into a fully staged musical! Our 90-minute multimedia experience is irreverent, it's Black, it's queer, it's crass and full of camp. There will be games, raffles and surprise appearances! You won't want to miss Jackie Washington Day this year!
